အိုကီနာဝါရဲ့ ရိုးရာကိုယ်ခံပညာက ဘာလဲဆိုတာ သိပါသလား?
ကာရာတေး (空手) ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ဂျပန်မှာ ကာရာတေးကို “ဟေးဝ နို ဘူ” (平和の武) (ငြိမ်းချမ်းရေး ကိုယ်ခံပညာ) လို့ ခေါ်ကြပြီး ကမ္ဘာတစ်ဝှမ်း ကာရာတေးပညာရပ်ကို လေ့လာလေ့ကျင့်နေသူ လူဉီးရေ ၁၃၀ သိန်းရှိပါတယ်။ ကာရာတေး ကိုယ်ခံပညာက အိုကီနာဝါကနေ ဖြစ်လာတယ်ဆိုတာ လူအများစုက မသိကြပါဘူး။ အိုကီနာဝါကျွန်းဆွယ်ရဲ့ သမိုင်းကြောင်းနဲ့ ယဉ်ကျေးမှုက ကာရာတေး ရိုးရာကိုယ်ခံပညာထဲမှာ အခြေတည်ထားပါတယ်။
“အိုကီနာဝါအကြောင်း လေ့လာစရာ၊ ဂျပန်ဖောင်ဒေးရှင်းကို လာခဲ့ပါ” (Okinawa Month) အစီအစဉ်အနေနဲ့ အိုကီနာဝါနှင့် ပါတ်သတ်တဲ့ အစီအစဉ်များကို စက်တင်ဘာ ၁လ လုံးပြုလုပ်ကျင်းပလျက်ရှိပါတယ်။ နောက်ဆုံးအစီအစဉ်အနေနဲ့ ဂျပန်ဖောင်ဒေးရှင်းရန်ကုန်သည် “ကာရာတေးမွေးဖွားရာ အိုကီနာဝါ” (Okinawa: the Birthplace of Karate) အစီအစဉ်မှာ ကာရာတေး ကိုယ်ခံပညာ ဖြစ်ပေါ်လာပုံ၊ ကာရာတေးနှင့် အိုကီနာဝါ၊ ကာရာတေး သရုပ်ဖော်ပြသကွက်နှင့် ကာရာတေး kihon training for all တို့ပါရှိမှာဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ ပေါ့ပေါ့ပါးပါးအကျီနဲ့ ဘောင်းဘီဝတ်လာဖို့ အကြံပြုပါတယ်။

“ကာရာတေး မွေးဖွားရာ အိုကီနာဝါ” အစီအစဉ်အတွက် ဖိတ်ခေါ်ထားတဲ့ ကာရာတေးနည်းပြကတော့ ဂျပန် ကာရာတေး Shotokan (松濤館) အဖွဲ့ချုပ်တွင် အဆင့် (၃) ခါးပတ်နက်ရရှိထားပြီး ကာရာတေးနည်းပြအဖြစ် ၇ နှစ် ကြာအောင် သင်ကြားပြသပေးခဲ့တဲ့ sensei ယုတ ကိုးနိရှိ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ sensei က တရုတ်နိုင်ငံတွင် ကာရာတေး အကူနည်းပြအဖြစ် ၅ နှစ်သင်ကြားပေးခဲ့ပြီး နယူးဂိနိ နိုင်ငံတွင် အဓိကနည်းပြအဖြစ် ၂ နှစ်ကြာအောင် သင်ကြား ပေးခဲ့သည်။ sensei သည် လက်ရှိတွင် Japan Traditional Karate Association ၏ မြန်မာသင်တန်းကျောင်းခွဲ တွင် ကာရာတေးနည်းပြအဖြစ် သင်ကြားပေးလျက်ရှိပါသည်။

အိုကီနာ၀ါနဲ့ အဲအိဆာ（エイサー）ခွဲခြားလို့မရတဲ့အရာ၊ အိုကီနာ၀ါ အဲအိဆာအကသည် ဂျပန်တွင်သာမက အပြည်ပြည်ဆိုင်ရာ ကမ္ဘာလှည့်ခရီးသွားများကြားတွင်လဲ ကျော်ကြားသောအကတစ်ခုဖြစ်သည်။

အီယာဆာဆာ（イーヤーサーサー）နဲ့ ဟာအီယာ（ハーイーヤー） သံပြိုင်ထွက်သည့် ညာသံနှင့်အတူ အားမာန်အပြည်နှင့် စည်ကြီး၊စည်ငယ် အသွယ်သွယ် မှ ညီညာတီးခတ် ပဲ့တင်သံနှင့်အတူ စီတန်းလှည့်လည်လေ့ရှိသော အဲအိဆာအကသည် လျူးကျူးခေတ်မှ ယနေ့အထိတိုင် အိုကီနာ၀ါ၏ ထင်ရှားသော ယဥ်ကျေးမှုပြယုဂ် ပွဲတော်တစ်ခုဖြစ်သည်။ ဂျပန်ပြည်မ ရှိ ဒေသအချို့နဲ့ မတူ၊ မူကွဲသော အိုဘုန်းပွဲတော်တွင် တီးခတ်ကပြဖျော်ဖြေလေ့ရှိပြီး၊ ပွဲတော်ကျင်းပချိန် နွေရာသီတွင် ကမ္ဘာလှည့် ခရီးသွား ဧည်သည်များနှင့် စည်းကားလေ့ရှိသည်။

ဂျပန်ဖောင်ဒေးရှင်းရန်ကုန်၏ လက်ရှိကျင်းပပြုလုပ်နေသော Okinawa Month ၏ တတိယအပတ် အစီအစဥ်တွင် အဲအိဆာအက ကိုမိတ်ဆက်ထိတွေ့ပေးရန် စီစဥ်ထားပါသည်။

အဲအိဆာအက အကြောင်းကိုလဲ ရှင်းလင်းပြသပေးမည်ဖြစ်ပြီး၊ paarankuu（パーランクー） ပါရမ်ခု စည်ငယ်ဖြင့် အားလုံးအတူတူ ပါ၀င်တီးခတ် ကပြရမည်ဖြစ်သောကြောင့် စိတ်ပါ၀င်စားသူများ လာရောက်ပါ၀င်နိုင်ရန် အကြောင်း ကြားအပ်ပါသည်။

Session တစ်ခုကို လူ အယောက် ၁၅ ယောက် ကန့်သတ်ထားပြီး၊ မနက်ပိုင်းနှင့် နေ့လည်ပိုင်း နှစ်ချိန် ခွဲထားသောကြောင့် မိမိ အဆင်ပြေမည့် အချိန်တွင် တက်ရောက်လို့ရပါတယ်။ ကြိုတင်စာရင်းပေး သွင်းဖို့လိုအပ်ပြီး Frist come first စနစ်နဲ့ ပထမဆုံး စာရင်းပေးသွင်းသူတွေကို event မတိုင်ခင် တစ်ရက်ကနေ နှစ်ရက် အတွင်း အတည်ပြုဖို့ ဖုန်းဖြင့်ဆက်သွယ် အကြောင်းကြားပါမယ်။ ပါ၀င်ဖို့ အတည်ပြုပြီးမှ event နေ့တွင် cancel လုပ်ခြင်း၊ မတက်ရောက်ခြင်းများသည် အခြားတက်ရောက် လိုသူများကို နစ်နာစေသောကြောင့် တက်နိုင်သရွေ့ မပြုလုပ်မိပါရန် မေတ္တာရပ်ခံအပ်ပါသည်။

Okinawa Month
ဂျပန်ဖောင်ဒေးရှင်းရန်ကုန်သည် မြန်မာ-ဂျပန်ယဉ် ကျေးမှုဖလှယ်ရေး ပေါင်းကူးတံတားအနေဖြင့် ဂျပန်ယဉ်ကျေးမှုဆိုင်ရာ ပွဲအစီအစဉ်များကို တင်ဆက်ပေးလျက်ရှိပါသည်။ ယခု စက်တင်ဘာလတွင် “Okinawa Month” ဟူ၍ အိုကီနာဝါဒေသ၏ ယဉ်ကျေးမှု၊ အနုပညာ၊ သမိုင်းကြောင်းတို့ကို စိတ်ဝင်စားဖွယ်အစီအစဉ်များစွာဖြင့် မိတ်ဆက်ပေးသွားမည်ဖြစ်ပါသည်။

အိုကီနာဝါဒေသသည် ဂျပန်၏ အနောက်တောင်ဘက် အကျဆုံး နေရာတွင်တည်ရှိပြီး ကျွန်းငယ်ပေါင်း ၁၆၀ ဖြင့် ပါဝင်ဖွဲ့စည်းထားသည်။ အိုကီနာဝါသည် ယခင်က ဂျပန်ပြည်တွင် မပါဝင်ဘဲ လျူးကျူးနိုင်ငံတော်အဖြစ် တစ်ထီးတစ်နန်း တစ်သီးတစ်ခြား တည်ရှိခဲ့ပြီး အရှေ့အာရှ ကုန်သွယ်ရေးအတွက် အချက်အခြာကျသော နိုင်ငံတစ်ရပ်ဖြစ်ခဲ့သည်။ ထိုသို့ အရှေ့အာရှနှင့် တောင်အာရှနိုင်ငံများကြား ကုန်ဖလှယ်ရာဒေသဖြစ်သည့်အလျောက် ယဉ်ကျေးမှုမှာလည်း မြန်မာအပါအဝင် အရှေ့တောင်အာရှနိုင်ငံများ၏ ယဉ်ကျေးမှုုနှင့် ဆင်တူနိုင်သည့် အချက်များကိုလည်း တွေ့နိုင်မည်ဖြစ်သည်။

Basic Shodo Class: Final week

The Japan Foundation, Yangon’s basic shodo class came to an end as it final class was conducted on 4 March. Yume sensei delivered her last lesson of Kohitsu writing in preparing the CV in Japanese and reviewed the previous five lessons. Participants who completed all six lessons were awarded the completion certificates.

The inaugural opening of Ningyo exhibition was held on March 4, by inviting the special cultural specialist guests to a small and private reception. The invited guests were awed by the curatorial plan of the exhibition and a variety of Japanese dolls displayed and their background.

Fringe event: Hinamatsuri Talk

4 March, 10 am

The Japan Foundation Yangon provides information on Japanese traditional culture and practices for those interested in Japanese culture and willing to participate. 12-month seasonal festivals and event programs are being presented.

This time, March 3rd will be Hinamatsuri (Girl’s Festival), so there will be a Hinamatsuri conversation and workshop. The Hina Festival is one of Japan’s five “gosekku” festivals, a festival that prays for girls to grow up healthy and lucky.

On that day, hina dolls such as Japanese emperor and queen dolls, virgin dolls Dolls of court musicians and other court attendants are often decorated in homes with daughters.

During the Hinamatsuri talk, a Japanese volunteer will introduce and explain the Hina festival. Then game There will be quiz programs, and the cakes eaten on the day of the Hina festival. They will taste the drinks together.

Fringe event: Evolution of Japanese Collectible Figures

The Japan Foundation, Yangon have exhibiting the Ningyo (Japanese Doll) traveling exhibition. As the exhibition is curated into a comprehensive overview of how Japanese dolls have evolved over the years, from the popular dolls that children play to d  olls of popular anime characters that is loved by people from all over the world.

Under the subtitle of Spread of Ningyo Culture, from Lica Chan to today popular anime figures, we will discuss about the evolution of Japanese Collectible figure with Mr. Nay Aung Latt (Kira Kira) we welcome you to join with us.

Learning Japan Business Culture and Etiquettes Talk Event

This time, the Japan Foundation Yangon is organizing a cultural exchange program called “Learning Japan Working Culture and Etiquette” for those who are interacting between Japan and Myanmar in the fields of business and for those who want to know Japanese working culture. We invited the CEO of Nice Myanmar Group of Companies, “Mr. Nii Htwe” to talk about Japan’s workplace ethics and the philosophies of those who have mastered the Japanese business world.

Studying the workplace culture and philosophy behind it will help the society in the workplace become more familiar with each other. It can also increase mutual understanding, so this is a suitable event for those who are working in Japan-related jobs and for those who want to visit Japan so we invite you to participate.

On every Saturday, the Kendo Club continues to practice and do the club activities for beginner and senior classes. There are new club members who signed up for beginner class.

Culture Center and Reading Space

While culture center is occupied with Japanese doll exhibition, reading space is arranged in the seminar room. Not only the regular readers but also visitors who came to the exhibition also enjoyed the books and manga.

Setsubun

4 Feb

Culture center is decorated with Setsubun theme for first 2 weeks of February. Oni masks along with beans were displayed on the desk while the explanation videos of Setsubun ceremony were shown on the projector screen for the visitors.

Basic Shodo Class: fifth week

11 Feb, 1 pm, 3 pm

In the fifth week, second last week of Basic Shodo class, Yume sensei continued the lesson of Kohitsu. After teaching how to write hiragana properly and beautifully in the first week, sensei taught how to write Katakana with pencil.

 

Judo Demonstration and Workshop

1 pm, 18 Feb

Japan Foundation, Yangon has been introducing not only Japanese language and culture, but also Japanese Budo (martial arts) culture through online talk events and martial arts demonstration events based on the saying of BunBu Ryodo (balance of pen and sword) for those who are studying Japanese culture and language.

This time, there will be a demonstration of Judo, a form of Japanese Budo, and a basic workshop will be held therefore interested participants can join and learn physically. The introduction to judo was done online with Fujita sensei on the Do Talk program, and this time Kubota sensei will be conducting a demonstration and workshop. Kubota sensei is a Judo instructor with 30 years of Judo teaching experience and has achieved Judo Level 6 Dan.

Saturday Yoke Shin ( Papa no Obento Screening) & Presentation about Japanese Obento

Japan Foundation Yangon’s Saturday Yoke Shin program shows, this time, a family drama film, “Dad’s Lunch Box (Papa no obento)” with English subtitles. More than 260,000 likes have been received on the Twitter social media network. Based on a true story that has been re-tweeted over 80,000 times, It is the work of director FUKATSU Masakazu, who shot the music videos of famous bands such as andymori and ONE OK ROCK.

Before the movie screening, HAYAMI Yoko san will introduce and explain the art of making rice bowls, which is a Japanese food culture Washoku culture, and the participants will taste the rice bowls together.

Hayami Yoko san opened a cooking class in Yangon in 2015. In addition, using the ingredients of Burmese cuisine, Japanese cuisine, Myanmar, Introducing cuisines from Asia and other countries in a healthy and balanced way, he has written articles on new recipes and healthy management.

JFYG New Year Kakizome Performance

The Japan Foundation Yangon’s 2023 New Year Kakizome Shōdo performance was held last Saturday at the Culture Center. Shōdo artist Yume Aritgraphy did the Kakizome drawing performance.

Kakizome is a Japanese cultural practice of writing down one’s wishes on paper with a brush as the first word written at the beginning of the new year.

This year, the word “復」Fuku was chosen as the word for Kakizome of Japan Foundation Yangon. 「復」 means restoration and can be interpreted as “restore/resume”.「復」Fuku to to manifest the Japan Foundation Yangon’s art and cultural programs to be resume inorder to restore the cultural harmony of Japan and Myanmar that connecting as a bridge and to revive the dreams and hopes of Japanese language learners in Myanmar.

After the Shōdo performance, the participants drew the Kakizome words they wanted to draw in the Kakizome Trial writing corner. Through this event, according to the omens of the Khakizome words drawn by participants, we pray that the wishes, the hopes and the dreams can be revived.

Basic Shodo Class: Fourth Week

7 Jan, 1 pm, 3 pm

The second part of Basic Shodo Class starts in the fourth week with Kohitsu (hard pencil) writing lesson. Sensei firstly taught the students how to write Hiragana with pencil. After that, sensei taught the students about Nengajo phrases and how to  write the phrases with hard pencil.

Japanese Independent Film Festival

“Japanese Indie films: the window of a new perspective”

“JFF+ Independent Cinema” is the Japan Foundation’s new online film streaming program, which will screen a total of 12 Japanese indie films. From December 15 to March 15, the six films will be screened online for the first term. Synopsis, trailer and guidelines for how to watch are announced on Japanese Film Festival Myanmar Facebook page and the trailers were screened at the JFYG culture center to advertise the film festival.

Basic Shodo Class: Third Week

10 December, 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm

As the class has finished the first half and the year is about to end, the lesson of third week focuses on “making nengajo: Japanese new year greeting cards”. Yume sensei introduced the art of using Shodo in making nengajo and taught the students how they can apply in creating their own styles. The students were excited to make their first nengajo and satisfied to see their own artwork at the end of the class.

Culture Center and Reading Space

After closing the culture center temporarily for two weeks due to renovation of electrical appliances, it was reopened on 16 December. The reading space was decorated with Christmas Anime posters and Karesansui snowman. 158 people came to the culture center in December.
