Space Rental Service

The Japan Foundation, Yangon (JFYG) lend our facilities to groups which want to use.

Rental Days and time

・Only if there are no plans to use our events, halls, galleries, and seminar rooms (hereinafter referred to as “facilities”) are rented.

・As a general rule, the facility can be used between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on the opening days of the JFYG (Tuesday to Saturday, excluding the closing days of JFYG).

Users

Applications for use of the facility must be made by groups, and applications for use by individuals are not accepted. In addition, accepted events or programs are in the following categories.

(1) Events or programs related to the introduction of Japanese culture and international cultural exchange

(2) Events or programs related to Japanese studies and academic exchange with Japan

(3) Events or programs related to Japanese language education

(4) Other events or programs that are specifically approved by the Director of the Japan Foundation, Yangon in light of the purpose of the JFYG’s activities.

It cannot be lent to the following categories:

(1) Highly profitable events or programs

(2) Events or programs for the purpose of selling goods.

(3) Political activities, religious activities, or similar events or programs

(4) Events or programs that are deemed likely to disturb the order of the facility or harm the public interest.

(5) Other events or programs that the Director of The Japan Foundation, Yangon deems to be inappropriate.

Rental fee

It is free of charge regardless of the facility and time of use. However, if there is significant damage to the facility equipment or items, we may charge the actual expenses of repairs.

Application

Please be sure to read the Terms of UseTerms of Use and submit the application form by email to info.jfyg@jpf.go.jp at least one month prior to the desired use date. After receiving the email, the person in charge of our center will contact you.

Usage Report

Please submit a usage report within one week of the date of return.
