Job Vacancy : Assistant staff for public relations and library administration

The Japan Foundation, Yangon (JFYG) invites applications for the position of assistant staff to make various types of public relations (PR) materials for the programs conducted by JFYG and to administrate library. Details of the position are as follows;

[Type/ Duration of Contract]:  (maximum one-year with the possibility of renewal-based ability and mutual agreement)

The assistant staff for public relations will be in charge of following tasks (but not limited) under his/her superiors.

-Making public relations materials (such as posters, flyers, videos, etc.) for Art and Cultural Exchange/Japanese Language Education/Japanese Studies and Global Partnership programs conducted by JFYG

-Posting and controlling PR materials on JFYG website and SNS (Facebook, Instagram, Telegram) pages,  You tube channels

-Administrating mailing lists

-Media Relations

-Making PR for JFYG institutions and planning for monthly gallery exhibition

-Administrating library, its books and materials

[Salary and Compensation]: To be determined based on experience and ability

Working days: Monday through Friday (closed on every Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays)

Working hours: 8:30 – 17:00

[Required qualifications and abilities]:

-Myanmar nationality

-High proficiency in Myanmar, strong command of English and high communication skills of both languages and basic Japanese language ability (JLPT N4 level)

-Communication skills necessary to establish good relationship with various related organizations

– Strong administrative skills using computers and design software (Canva, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, etc.) and relatively high public relations skills using websites and social networking service (work experience in making PR materials and web marketing is desirable).

– Creativity and strategic skills of planning to make institutions more attractive and to attract more visitors

-Certain level of understanding and interest in Japanese culture.
