Disaster Prevention & Mental Health Activities Through Art:

 

The Japan Foundation, Yangon is pleased to invite the event of the disaster prevention/mental health activities through arts projects in Mandalay, titled; “What can art and artists do to raise awareness about the importance of disaster prevention and improve mental health”.

 

The event is scheduled on March 21 and 22 in Mandalay, a place of effect and just one year after the great earthquake in March 2025. This event aims to help participants reflect on and relearn how to prepare for natural disasters, while also raising awareness of mental health challenges within communities.

 

The Japan Foundation, would like to ask you to participate in the art-making workshop to create the art as a record of our memories, and in turn to create a collective work of art to install the exhibition. Anyone who is interested in participating in the workshop may register free of charge. The registration post will be announced soon.
